A few words about thermal insulation properties ...

The rate of thermal transport (U-Value) is the most important coefficient in the comparative tables of the properties of crystals which can be viewed in the section Crystals. The lower the coefficient the more energy can be saved since the crystal acts as a shield that protects the building.

Comparing the values in the tables for different crystals we see that the crystals with special coatings and gas in the gap have a much lower U-value than the common crystals. This makes them much more affordable, in a medium to longer period of time as the air conditioning operates much less.

For more information see the crystal properties.
